Free Placement Preparation Websites in 2026, Compared
By Pooja Goenka · Published 2026-10-29
The best free placement preparation website depends on the job you need done. For plain aptitude practice with solved answers, IndiaBix and PlacementPreparation.io are hard to beat; for free company-style mock tests plus interview practice in one place, LogicWiz is a strong pick; and GeeksforGeeks is the deepest free library for coding and computer science topics.
A note before we start. LogicWiz is our product, so we have a stake in this list. Everything below comes from each site's own pages, read on 29 October 2026. Where a page did not say something clearly, we say that instead of guessing. Free plans change often, so check before you plan around one.
What placement preparation actually needs
Most campus hiring tests for freshers ask for aptitude, reasoning, verbal ability, some technical questions, and then interviews. So a good free setup covers four jobs:
- Learn a topic until you can solve it without looking at the answer.
- Practise lots of questions, with an explanation when you get one wrong.
- Take timed mock tests that feel like the real company test.
- Rehearse the interview out loud.
No single site below is the best at all four, so most students use two or three together.
PlacementPreparation.io: free practice with no paywall
PlacementPreparation.io has practice sections for quantitative aptitude, data interpretation, logical, verbal and non-verbal reasoning, and verbal ability. It also has programming and technical MCQs (Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, SQL and more), company-specific mock tests, and placement exam pages with syllabus and sample papers.
What is free: its FAQ says the platform is "100% free to use", with no hidden charges or subscription fees.
Best for: students who want one free place for aptitude and technical MCQs without hitting a paywall.
Limitation: the homepage also promotes a data science course and a career guidance form, and it does not say whether those cost money.
IndiaBix: the classic solved question bank
IndiaBix is one of the oldest solved question banks for placement aptitude. It covers aptitude, data interpretation, verbal ability and three kinds of reasoning, plus programming, database and engineering subjects. There are online tests, placement papers, and pages on group discussion, HR and technical interviews.
What is free: the topic page we opened showed every question with its answer and a worked explanation, with no login or payment needed to see them. The homepage does not state a price either way.
Best for: learning one aptitude topic at a time, with a solution right under each question.
Limitation: it is mostly a question bank. The online tests we saw are topic tests, and the pages we read did not offer full company-style mock tests or interview practice.
GeeksforGeeks: the biggest free library for coding and CS
GeeksforGeeks is best known for programming, data structures and computer science theory. It also has a full aptitude section, with solved question pages and a quiz for most topics.
What is free: the aptitude page does not state whether its content or quizzes are free or paid.
Best for: technical preparation, especially coding and CS subjects such as operating systems, DBMS and networks.
Limitation: it is very large, so it is easy to read a lot without a plan. It also promotes courses such as "Placement 360" on the aptitude page, without saying what they include or cost.
PrepInsta: company-by-company coverage
PrepInsta covers aptitude, coding, CS subjects and interview preparation, organised around specific companies such as TCS, Accenture and Infosys.
What is free: its pages say articles unlock "by just simply logging in", so a free account opens the written content. Its paid subscription, Prime, includes courses, and the TCS NQT page lists "PrepInsta Mock" under the Prime menu. Neither page states a price.
Best for: reading up on one company's test pattern and past question styles.
Limitation: from the pages we read, the exact line between free and Prime content was not clear, so check what a mock test needs before you rely on it.
FACE Prep: free company guides and aptitude
FACE Prep describes free resources for students: a "Company Corner" with eligibility, syllabus and recent question patterns for many companies (the page says they are sourced from official company pages), aptitude practice with worked examples and coding problems with solutions.
What is free: the page labels these placement resources as free.
Best for: company research and guided aptitude examples.
Limitation: the homepage we read did not mention timed mock tests or interview practice for individual students.
Testbook: a big test platform, mostly for government exams
Testbook appears in many "best of" lists. Its homepage is built around government exams (SSC, banking, railways, teaching and more), with campus placement as one category among many.
What is free: each test series shows a few free tests, for example "3 Free Tests" on one series, and the rest are part of the paid Testbook Pass. The homepage did not show prices.
Best for: students who are also preparing for government or banking exams alongside campus placements.
Limitation: campus placement is a small part of the site, so it is not the most focused choice if company tests are your only goal.
LogicWiz: practice, mocks and interviews in one place
We built LogicWiz so the four jobs above could happen in one place.
- Practice. Free aptitude, reasoning, verbal and technical practice needs no sign-up, and every question has a worked explanation. There is also Daily 10, a free daily set of ten questions.
- Mock tests. Company-style mock tests modelled on reported patterns, including TCS NQT-style, Infosys-style, Wipro-style, Accenture-style, Cognizant-style and Capgemini-style tests, plus shorter sprints for one section.
- A study plan. You pick the test you are preparing for and your date, and the study plan gives you a daily plan aimed at your weak topics, with mock tests built in.
- Interviews. AI mock interviews with Aria, who asks follow-up questions and scores every answer. Students can start on a free plan.
- Resume. A free ATS resume checker that needs no login and runs in your browser.
- Learning. Free GenAI, DSA, System Design, Python and SQL courses with visualisers and in-browser labs. Inside a lesson, a tutor knows the exact step you paused on and answers in your language.
- Proof of skill. Proctored exams with certificates anyone can verify, and Arena coding games if you want a break from MCQs.
Best for: practice, timed company-style mocks and spoken interview rehearsal in one place.
Worth knowing: the mock tests follow reported patterns and are not official papers from the companies. That is true of every site on this list, and it is why the official practice tool for a test, where one exists, is worth a look too.

How to combine them
A simple setup that works:
- Learn and practise on IndiaBix, PlacementPreparation.io or the LogicWiz practice pages. Pick one and stick with it.
- Use GeeksforGeeks for coding and CS theory.
- Read the company page on PrepInsta or FACE Prep for the company you are applying to.
- Take a timed mock in that company's style each week, and spend longer on the review than the test.
- Say your answers out loud before the real interview.
FAQ
Which website is best for free placement preparation in 2026?
There is no single winner. IndiaBix and PlacementPreparation.io are strong for free aptitude practice, GeeksforGeeks for coding and CS subjects, and LogicWiz for free company-style mock tests with AI interview practice in the same place.
Which free placement website has mock tests?
PlacementPreparation.io and LogicWiz both offer free company-style mock tests on their own pages. PrepInsta and Testbook also have mocks, but most of those sit in paid plans.
Are these mock tests the same as the real company test?
No. Third-party mocks are modelled on reported patterns. They are good for building speed and spotting weak topics, but the real paper can differ.
How do I practise for the interview round for free?
Read common HR and technical questions on IndiaBix or PlacementPreparation.io, then practise saying your answers out loud. LogicWiz Interviews lets students run AI mock interviews with Aria on a free plan, with follow-up questions and a scored report.
