Free AI mock interview tools for freshers in India, compared (2026)

Last updated · By LogicWiz Team

Short answer: Huru offers unlimited free AI mock interviews and MockAI says it is free in Hindi, Hinglish and English, while interviewing.io gives a free AI interviewer for coding practice and Aced (which absorbed Pramp) offers free peer practice on monthly credits. LogicWiz Interviews is also free for one typed and one spoken interview a week, but we are one of the options and not a neutral judge. Pick by the round you fear most (spoken HR, coding or system design), use two tools, and check each page's current terms before you rely on a limit.

If you are a fresher in India looking for a free AI mock interview, the real choice is between tools built for spoken behavioural answers, tools built for coding rounds, and tools built for Hindi or Hinglish speakers. This page compares eight options on the same questions: what is free, what is paid or limited, which languages, voice or text, and who it suits. Every claim about another product comes from that product's own page, which we read on 22 October 2026 and link below. LogicWiz is one of the eight and we are not neutral, so we state our weaknesses in the same section as our strengths. We are not affiliated with any tool named here, and free limits change often.

What each one is good at

Huru. Huru's page lists unlimited mock interviews on the free plan, run as a live conversation with an AI interviewer (5 to 20 minutes, audio or video) or question by question on camera. It lists a 50,000+ question library and an instant feedback report. It does not list Hindi, so if you think in Hindi, you will be translating in your head. Best for: building the habit of answering out loud.

MockAI. The Product Hunt listing describes a free coach for freshers across 100+ roles, working in Hindi, Hinglish and English with no login. That is a founder's launch post, and the page did not say whether practice is spoken or typed, so test it yourself before depending on it.

interviewing.io. On its page, human mocks are anonymous, with audio and chat but no video, in a shared code editor, and cover algorithms, system design, front-end, machine learning and behavioural rounds. The free part is the AI interviewer and the problem set. The page gave no price or free session for the human mocks. Best for: someone who already codes and wants realistic pressure.

Aced (formerly Exponent, now including Pramp). Aced's practice page says "Pramp is now Aced". Peer sessions are live one-to-one video calls (audio-only is possible) with a code editor, and free users get a monthly credit allowance. AI feedback and transcripts are limited to paid members. It is not supported on mobile. Best for: practising with another person who is also preparing.

GoodSpace. The premium page offers a free preview of an AI interviewer that adapts to your role and covers behavioural, technical and HR rounds. Regular use sits in a paid plan. Best for: trying it once to see whether the questions feel close to your role.

MentorWise. Its free-tool page is the vendor's own marketing, so treat "free forever" as a claim. It describes role-based questions scored against the STAR method. Best for: HR and behavioural rehearsal if the claim holds.

PlacementPreparation.io. Its home page says it is free to use and offers interview preparation guides and company mock tests, but we found no AI interviewer on the page. Include it for the reading and the tests, not for speaking practice.

LogicWiz Interviews. Aria, our AI interviewer, asks follow-up questions, accepts spoken or typed answers, and ends with a scored report on technical depth, reasoning, communication and confidence. The free Spark plan covers every track, including system design and low-level design, with a limit of one typed and one spoken interview a week. Where we are weaker: the free limit is small compared with Huru's, the free spoken mode uses your browser's voice (the natural HD voice is on paid plans), and our page does not list the languages Aria supports. If Hindi is your main need, try MockAI first.

Google Interview Warmup

Older lists still recommend Google Interview Warmup. We could not find it on 22 October 2026. Google's interview guide on Grow with Google (dated 11 December 2025) no longer mentions it and points to Gemini Live for a real-time conversational interview instead, and a community post reports it was shut down in 2026. We did not find an official Google announcement, so treat that as reported.

How to use an AI mock well

  1. Pick one round. A behavioural round, a coding round and an HR round need different practice. Do not mix them in one sitting.
  2. Speak at least half your sessions. Interviews are spoken. If you only type, your first spoken answer will be your worst.
  3. Read the report for one fix. A score only tells you where to look. Write down the single answer you would now give differently and redo it the next day.
  4. Check the facts. AI interviewers can accept a confident but wrong technical answer. Compare anything technical against a textbook or a free lesson, such as our data structures lessons.
  5. Add a human. One session with a friend or a senior, using the questions from HR interview questions for freshers, catches what a model misses.

For a full routine without any tool, read how to practise for a job interview on your own. To compare placement sites more widely, see best placement preparation websites in India.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best free AI mock interview for freshers in India?

There is no single best. Huru has the broadest free limit for spoken behavioural practice, MockAI says it works in Hindi, Hinglish and English, interviewing.io has a free AI interviewer for coding, and LogicWiz offers one typed and one spoken interview a week. Try two and keep the one whose feedback you act on.

Is there a free AI mock interview in Hindi?

MockAI's Product Hunt listing says it works in Hindi, Hinglish and English. Huru's page lists English, Spanish, Portuguese, German and French. We did not find Hindi support stated on the other pages we read.

Are AI mock interviews really free?

Partly. Huru and MentorWise state unlimited free use on their pages, interviewing.io gives free AI practice, and LogicWiz, Aced and GoodSpace give limited free use. Paid plans usually add more sessions, transcripts or voice quality.

Do I need to speak my answers out loud?

Yes, for at least half your practice. Tools differ: Huru is spoken, LogicWiz accepts both, and several pages we read did not say. Start by typing if you freeze, then move to speaking.

Is Google Interview Warmup still available?

We could not find it on 22 October 2026. Google's own guide now points to Gemini Live, and a community post reports the tool was shut down.

Can AI prepare me for coding and system design rounds?

Partly. AI is good for repetition and spotting gaps in your explanation, while a human interviewer is closer to real pressure. interviewing.io offers both.
